Evan: You are a very brave boy. You are having to face challenges and a disease that you never asked for and had no reason to expect. While you are clearly surrounded by friends and family who love you and are there for you, just like King Arthur and the Knights of the Roundtable, it is you who are the chosen warrior who must fight and win. I cannot say how or why I know it, but I can see that you have the force of will within you to overcome the challenges and defeat the disease. Perhaps it is the clear purpose in your eyes or the strength that I see in your face. But I know a true warrior when I see one.
I wish you good luck and God's grace, and Lord knows we all need both. It has been and will be difficult for a time. But that time will pass. How you face these challenges now are shaping you into the man you will be someday. Just as you are now a boy of whom all who know you are justifiably very proud, I see you one day being a man of strength and wisdom who will command the respect and earn the affection of all whom you meet. A warrior. The world will need such men (and women) one day. So continue to fight, and continue to heal. your destiny is waiting to unfold. Take care, young squire.
