THE WARRIOR TREE

We are honored to show you a very special gift Evan received, from Mrs. Waxman's third grade class, at Highland's Elementary School.  The class planted a tree. It is a Golden Rain tree. The tree has a name. It is called The Warrior Tree. Evan the Warrior has a tree planted in his name and it is called, The Warrior Tree.

When Evan and his friends are at school, they will play on the field around the tree.  When Evan and his friends who planted the tree are in sixth grade, the tree will be fully grown. It is little now, but it is alive, and growing taller and stronger every day, just like Evan and all the children who planted it. One day, when Evan is all grown up and he has children of his own, he will be able to take them to his school and show them the tall and mighty tree that was planted, shovelful by shovelful of dirt, by his third grade friends.

Look for the butterflies...I just know they will come...'for it is in flying that I am free'. Thanks to all the students in Mrs. Waxman's class for a special gesture of love and support. Have a wonderful summer. Remember to bloom where you are planted and never...ever...not even for one second...stop growing.
